Born and raised in Croatia, I moved to London where I studied Jewellery Design at Central St Martins College of Art & Design. Upon my graduation in 1998 I set up my studio in London where I still live and work.
That summer I worked relentlessly in preparation for my first London show and also started to exhibit at various galleries across the UK. However my first big break came a few years later when I received a phone-call from a senior jewellery buyer for Barneys NewYork. She decided to buy my entire collection for that year, which marked the beginning of a wonderful long lived career and an invaluable learning curve. For 13 years my work sold exclusively with Barneys NewYork across the United States. Since then i have been exhibiting throughout UK, Europe, USA and Russia. I also regularly take on private commissions, which can be explored through the Bespoke section on my website.
I try to innovate and challenge myself daily through experimenting with both materials and techniques. My love of textile methods is carefully translated into metal through various self-developed techniques that I have been perfecting over the years. The finest gold wires and chains are carefully hand-woven, melted and fused together with beautifully cut and naturally coloured diamond beads.
I tend to work in an intuitive, painterly manner, allowing my emotions to guide me through to the final design. I am a maker at heart and love to use my hands.
Jewellery can be a wonderful medium to express oneself and ones Art...
